Former Doctor Faces Sexual Assault Charges Against Thirty-Eight Patients
Prosecutors report that a former doctor stands accused of committing sexual assaults involving thirty-eight victims who were under his care.
Details of the Serious Charges
The accused, Nathaniel Spencer from Birmingham has been charged with numerous acts of sexual assault – comprising acts against minors under the age of thirteen – spanning the period from 2017 and 2021.
A deputy chief CPS official commented, “Legal teams have worked at length to support a detailed and complex investigation, carefully reviewing the available evidence to establish that there is sufficient evidence to bring the case to trial and that it is in the interest of justice.”
The Police Inquiry
These allegations come after what investigators described as a “detailed inquiry” into reported assaults at two hospitals: a hospital in Stoke-on-Trent and a facility in Dudley.
The defendant will appear at the North Staffordshire justice centre on January 20th.

Prosecutors said the 45 charges he is charged with:
- Fifteen counts of sexual assault.
- 17 counts of assault by penetration.
- Nine counts of sexual assault of a child under 13.
- Three counts of assault of a child under 13 by penetration.
- 1 count of attempting to assault by penetration.
